Twenty participants from CICT and its partner schools in Luzon attended the four-day training course at the Marikina Hotel. The activity aimed at developing the capacities of the participants in coordinating and facilitating training programs.

Ms. Maria Esperanza “Cheng” Rasco (formerly of the Development Academy of the Philippines) was the resource speaker during the course.  She oriented the participants on the different management strategies during the various stages of training implementation. This would include designing a training program, managing the training sessions as well as resources, conducting evaluation and monitoring and making training reports.

Bansiong, a teacher in Biology, said that the course made him shift from being extremely logical to practical. He added that discovering learner’s learning style is truly essential in order to address learner’s needs.

The last day of the course was allotted for the designing of action plan for the projects under iSchools: library management, laboratory management, internet literacy, etc.
